Welcome to the wellbeing rebellion. My name is

Unknown:

Ian Ghazi Wella, and I'm a corporate wellbeing and

Unknown:

productivity consultant.

Unknown:

And my name is Becky Alec Bojay, a psychologist and behavioural

Unknown:

trim specialist.

Unknown:

We are the founders of Aurora, a corporate culture consultancy

Unknown:

that specialises in creating psychologically safe workplaces

Unknown:

that enable employees to thrive. For us. Wellbeing is personal. I

Unknown:

came from a corporate management background 15 years in oil and

Unknown:

gas, I had it all going for me, the career, the family, the

Unknown:

white picket fence, the whole shebang. Until it all came

Unknown:

crashing down spectacularly. I burnt out in a blaze of glory,

Unknown:

and ended up being signed off work for a year with work

Unknown:

related stress, anxiety, and depression. This was a

Unknown:

catastrophic blow, not just for me, my family and friends, but

Unknown:

also for the team that I left in the lurch of work. I was working

Unknown:

for the world's largest oil company, and I still crashed and

Unknown:

burned. I had access to a comprehensive EAP on site

Unknown:

occupational health, and one amazing boss, but it wasn't

Unknown:

enough. You see, the problem with employee wellbeing support

Unknown:

in most workplaces is that it puts the onus on the person

Unknown:

struggling to seek help. And when you are unwell, that is

Unknown:

just too big a burden to bear. It's not enough to say that your

Unknown:

door is always open. If you expect your employees to walk

Unknown:

through it unaided. We need to get better at supporting our

Unknown:

employees. And that is precisely what this podcast is designed to

Unknown:

help you do. Workplace wellbeing needs a new approach. The

Unknown:

rebellion is here, and it is long overdue.

Unknown:

So this podcast is specifically for the HR or business leader

Unknown:

who wants to implement robbing track intake and actually make a

Unknown:

difference to their employees. And the bottom line is we want

Unknown:

to create psychologically safe workplaces where employees are

Unknown:

empowered to bring their whole selves to work. We want to

Unknown:

create a culture that is inclusive, supportive, and

Unknown:

encourages everyone from shopfloor to boardroom to play

Unknown:

their part.

Unknown:

On the wellbeing rebellion podcast, we'll give you weekly

Unknown:

up to date, insights, strategies and tips that cover leadership

Unknown:

capability, executive burnout, mental health, equity, diversity

Unknown:

and inclusion and employee challenges such as retention,

Unknown:

productivity and emotional resilience. Sometimes, it'll be

Unknown:

just us. Others we'll interview relevant industry leaders and

Unknown:

experts and we may even host a q&a from time to time if you

Unknown:

behave yourselves. You can find us wherever you usually get your

Unknown:

podcast fixed, whether that be Apple Spotify, and we'll leave

Unknown:

that up to you. Be sure to subscribe. The wellbeing
